18 - Two - Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication is available to make your account more secure. You can access the two-factor authentication page by clicking the 2FA Settings menu on the left. The flow is easy, but make sure you have installed the authenticator app first.

Setup Two-Factor Authentication

To setup 2FA, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Two-factor Authentication page
2. Click the "Setup 2FA" button
3. The system shows a Setup 2FA popup
4. Prepare your device
   1. Scan the barcode or input the given code to the Authenticator app
5. Once the registration on the Authenticator app is a success, it will show a verification code.
6. Input the verification code from the Authenticator app into the Setup 2FA popup, then click the "Verify" button.

The system will show a success alert and an Enabled label on the page.

Reset Two-Factor Authentication

If you decide to reset 2FA on your account, follow these steps:  

1. Go to the Two-factor Authentication page
2. Click the Reset Two-factor Authentication (2FA) button
3. The system will show a confirmation popup, then click the "Yes, Continue" button.
4. Open your mail server and find an email with the Two Factor Authentication Reset Request subject.
5. Select the "Reset Two-Factor Authentication" link.

The system redirects you to the login page, removing two-factor authentication.

Disable Two-Factor Authentication

If you want to log in without inputting a 2FA code, but you want to keep the settings, disable 2FA by following these steps:

1. Go to the Two-factor Authentication page
2. Uncheck the checkbox
3. The system shows a confirmation popup, then click the "Yes, Continue" button.

 If you are unable to log in with 2FA, please reach out to support@dropsuite.com and request it be reset.
