This article explains backup status in NinjaOne SaaS Backup.

NinjaOne SaaS Backup

Description

The NinjaOneSaaS Backup Dashboard displays the status of your backups. Here's what the different statuses indicate.

Dashboard Backup Status

  1. Preparing Backup
    • Backup is in the queue to execute
  2. Running
    • Backup is running (shown by a green bar)
  3. Completed
    • This shows the last backup timestamp
  4. Authentication Error
    • Email account's credentials are wrong
      1. Click the Edit button and update the password for this email.
      2. If the error continues, contact your email provider
  5. Connection Error:
    • Connection issues with email server
      1. The status will change within a few hours
      2. If this does not happen, please contact our support
  6. Deactivated
    • Scheduled backup is disabled but can be enabled later

System Status → Backup

Status NameCondition
In Progress / RunningBackup is Running
RetryingSystem is retrying connection to email server to backup emails
Connection ErrorConnection with email server is in error. The status will change within a few hours. If this does not happen, please contact our support.
Authentication ErrorEmail account’s credential is wrong. Click the "Edit" button and update the password for this email. If the error continues, contact your email provider.
Preparing BackupBackup is in the queue to execute
CompletedBackup is completed
Partially CompletedThe backup was partially completed. The status will change within a few hours. If this does not happen, please contact our support.

 

System Status → Download

Status NameCondition
In Progress / RunningDownload is being generated
RetryingRetrying after download error. 
FailedUnknown error. The status will change within a few hours. If this does not happen, please contact our support.
Cancelledhas reached limit, it is automatically cancelled. Please try again. If it is cancelled again, please contact our support.
On QueueThe download process is queued
Completed / LinkDownload is completed and a link is available for download. 
ExpiredDownload Link has expired

 

System Status → Restore

Status NameCondition
In Progress / RunningRestore is in progress
RetryingRetrying after restore error
FailedUnknown Error. The status will change within a few hours. If this does not happen, please contact our support.
CancelledWhen retry has reached limit, it is automatically cancelled. Please try again. If it is cancelled again, please contact our support.
Connection ErrorConnection with email server is error.
Authentication ErrorEmail account’s credential is wrong. Click the "Edit" button and update the password for this email. If the error continues, contact your email provider.
On QueueThe restore process is queued.
Partially CompleteRestore is partially completed. This can be if the Mail Server storage is full.
CompletedRestore completed.

 

System Status → Migrate

Status NameCondition
In Progress / RunningMigrate is in progress
RetryingRetrying after migrate error
CancelledWhen retry has reached limit, it is automatically cancelled. Please try again. If it is cancelled again, please contact our support.
FailedUnknown Error. The status will change within a few hours. If this does not happen, please contact our support.
Connection ErrorConnection with email server is errored. Please contact our support.
Authentication ErrorEmail account’s credential is wrong. Please retry with correct credentials. 
On QueueThe migrate process is queued.
Partially CompleteMigration is partially completed. This can be if the Mail Server storage is full.
CompletedMigration completed
