Creating and Using EMail Tags

This article describes the Tag feature in NinjaOne SaaS Backup.

Description

Tags in NinjaOne SaaS Backup help you categorize and organize backed-up emails based on specific criteria, making it easier to identify and manage related items. You can use tags to find and filter email search results quickly.

Adding or deleting email tags may require significant processing time. The more emails you add or delete tags from, the longer the processing time will be.

Create a New Tag

To create a new tag, follow these steps:

  1. In the NinjaOne SaaS Backup End-User Portal, Navigate to ComplianceTags.
  2. Click + Create New Tag.
  3. Enter a tag name in the provided box, then click Add Tag.

A success banner will appear on the page to confirm NinjaOne SaaS Backup has created the tag. NinjaOne SaaS Backup will list the new tag on the Tags page.

Add a Tag to an Email

You can add a tag to backed-up emails from any of these locations in NinjaOne SaaS Backup:

  • Advanced Search
  • Saved Search
  • View Email from Saved Search
  • View Email from Email Account
  • Individual Email

To add an existing tag to an email, follow these steps:

  1. In the NinjaOne SaaS Backup End-User Portal, select an email you want to tag.
  2. Click TagAdd.

A success banner will appear on the page to confirm you have added the tag.

View Emails with Tags

  1. In the NinjaOne SaaS Backup End-User Portal, Navigate to ComplianceTags.
  2. Select a tag name from the list. 
  3. Click View Emails.

NinjaOne SaaS Backup will launch the View Emails page, where you can view details for all emails that use the specified tag.

Rename Tags

You can rename an existing tag. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. In the NinjaOne SaaS Backup End-User Portal, Navigate to ComplianceTags.
  2. Select a tag name from the list. 
  3. Select Rename. The selected tag name will now display as a text box. 
  4. Enter a new tag name, then click Enter

A success banner will appear to confirm you have renamed the tag.

Delete Tags

To delete a tag, follow these steps:

  1. In the NinjaOne SaaS Backup End-User Portal, Navigate to ComplianceTags.
  2. Select one tag name from the list. 
  3. Click Delete
  4. A confirmation dialog will display; click OK to proceed.

A success banner will appear to confirm you have deleted the tag.
