Topic

This article explains the basic functions of the NinjaOne SaaS Backup End-User Portal dashboard.

Environment

NinjaOne SaaS Backup End User Portal

Description

The dashboard is the main page users land on after logging in to the NinjaOne SaaS Backup End-user Portal. Some of the things you can do from the dashboard include:

  • Add backup accounts, including initial account setup.
  • See a list of backups and view information about restores, migrations, or downloads.
  • Monitor how many seats and how much storage are in use.
  • Use the Search feature to quickly find a specific backed-up account.

Dashboard State

The dashboard shows two distinct condition states depending on whether you have set up any accounts for backup yet.

  • Empty state: If you have not added any accounts, the dashboard displays a page prompting the user to add a backup.

Dashboard Functions

The dashboard serves as the main starting point when using NinjaOne SaaS Backup. The key functions of the dashboard are as follows.

Add Backup

Add Backup is used to enroll a new account in NinjaOne SaaS Backup. The account types you can add to backup include:

  • Microsoft 365 (M365)
  • Google Workspace (GWS)
  • IMAP

In the empty state, Add Backup appears as a button on the dashboard and is the primary call to action. In the populated state, Add Backup remains accessible from the account list section header.

Seat Usage

The Seat usage section displays how many seats are currently in use out of the total purchased seats. If the user has Autolicense activated, NinjaOne SaaS Backup only shows the number of seats in use. The purchased seat count is not displayed because Autolicense removes the fixed cap.

Storage Usage

Storage usage displays the total storage based on the current storage being used for backup items, including:

  • Microsoft 365: Email, OneDrive, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and SharePoint.
  • Google Workspace: Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks.
  • Other email services.
Deleted items and previous item versions may also use additional backup storage.

Account list

The dashboard lists all accounts currently enrolled in backup. Each entry shows the account holder's name, email address, last backup time, and current status. From each entry, users can proceed to view backup details, restore items, or migrate and download data.

Basic Search

The Search feature helps you find a specific backed-up account quickly without scrolling through the entire list. Type a name or email address, and the list will automatically filter to show only the accounts that match your input. Clear the search bar to return to the full account list.
