You can back up and restore contacts from three different product types:
- Microsoft 365 (M365)
- Google Workspace
- Hosted Exchange (HEX).
Backup Contacts
Microsoft 365 Contacts
- Navigate to the backup settings.
- Enable the Contact toggle in the pop-up.
The table below lists contact elements that the system supports for backup

Once an element is successfully backed up, it is also available for restore and download.
Google Workspace Contacts
- Complete the Google Workspace account backup setup.
- Once the email backup is added, contacts are automatically included in the backup.
Hosted Exchange Contacts
To back up Hosted Exchange contacts:
- Complete the Hosted Exchange backup form.
- After the account list is populated, you can begin adding them to the backup.
- Once the backup is complete, emails and all associated workloads, including contacts, are automatically added.
Restore Contacts
- Log in to the End-User Portal and navigate to your Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Contacts tab.
- Choose the source:
- To restore all contacts, move your cursor over the contact's account and choose Restore.
- To restore specific contacts, select the contact's name in the checkbox and choose Restore.
- To restore a specific contact version, select the contact's name, ensure the correct version is selected, and choose Restore.
- Confirm by choosing Yes, continue.
- Check the restore status in System Status → Restore.
Download Contacts
- Log in to the End-User Portal and navigate to your Dashboard.
- Navigate to the Contacts tab.
- Choose the source:
- To download all contacts, move your cursor over the contact's account and choose Download.
- To download specific contacts, select the contact's name in the checkbox and choose Download.
- To download a specific contact version, select the contact's name, ensure the correct version is selected, and choose Download.
- Confirm by choosing Yes, continue.
- Check the download status under System Status → Download.

How many contact versions does the system support?
The system supports unlimited contact versioning for all contact types: M365, Google Workspace, and Hosted Exchange.
Does "unlimited versioning" mean more frequent backups?
No, unlimited versioning refers to the system's ability to store and display unlimited historical versions from daily backup cycles. However, contact data is still backed up once a day.
