New Features

Microsoft Entra Administrative Units Backup and Restore

Microsoft Entra Administrative Units (AUs) are logical containers that group users, groups, or devices so organizations can delegate administrative permissions to specific scopes instead of granting tenant-wide access. They enable least-privilege access, regional or departmental separation of duties, and structured operational delegation.

We are excited to announce that the NinjaOne SaaS Backup Entra Portal now supports the backup, restore, and download of Entra ID Administrative Units. Explore this new feature to gain the benefit of protecting delegated access models, mitigating malicious and unauthorized changes, and supporting compliance and audit requirements. Learn more

Enhancements

Microsoft Intune Device Restoration

Previously, Entra Backup only supported backing up the Intune Device object. With this improvement, the capability now extends to restore. Users can go beyond just storing a backed-up Intune Device object and can now restore it as well. Learn more

Private Chat Backup Automatic Activation

We've made private chat backup easier than ever. Organizations using the Archiver plan now have private chat backup activated automatically. To start backing up private chats, follow the on-screen instructions directly from the NinjaOne SaaS Backup end-user dashboard. Learn more

Partner Portal User Management Improvements

We've enhanced the User Management page by requiring users to input their first and last names. This change helps maintain consistent user data and improves identity clarity across the system. Learn more

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Phase 2

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is essential for protecting user accounts. To enhance security while maintaining a smooth login experience, we're introducing an updated MFA login experience. NinjaOne SaaS Backup now displays MFA prompts on the login page, and you can bypass them when enforcement is deactivated, making it easier for you and your organization to add an extra layer of security at your own pace. This prompt is only available for users who have not yet activated MFA. Learn more
