A new Storage Usage card now displays on both the partner and end-user portal dashboards. Partners can view total storage consumption across all managed organizations, while organizations can track their own usage against their allocated limit. Learn more

Enhancements

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is Now Active by Default

Starting on 2026-07-01, all users will be required to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) when logging in to NinjaOne SaaS Backup for stronger account security. If you or the organization have not set up MFA, NinjaOne SaaS Backup will prompt you to activate it during login. If your organization enforces single sign-on (SSO) via Azure or Google, administrators can activate the Skip MFA switch in NinjaOne SaaS Backup to have users authenticate through their SSO provider only. Google OU/Group Filter Enhancement

Google Groups and OU filters let you manage mailbox accounts based on Groups or Organizational Units (OUs), giving you better control and a more streamlined backup process. The Group(s) and/or Organizational Unit(s) filter for Google Workspace backups now automatically detects accounts outside an applied OU or Group filter and prompts you to resolve them, preventing them from being included in your seat count accidentally. The Backup Summary Report Now Includes Private Chat

NinjaOne SaaS Backup now includes Private Chat backup in the organization-level Backup Summary Report (BSR). The BSR displays backup health and coverage across all users and workloads for the previous month. With this addition, the report now provides broader workload coverage and gives you a more complete view of backup activity across the organization. Learn more

Audit Log Download Improvements

Audit log downloads are now split into smaller files and are grouped by month, rather than generating a single large file at once. This enhancement resolves performance issues and download timeouts. Users can now download completed monthly segments as they are ready, rather than waiting for the entire export to finish. Learn more

Faster, More Accurate State Selection When Creating a New Partner

The State field for creating or editing a partner has been updated to a dropdown for United States and Canadian states, replacing free-text input to ensure more consistent and accurate data. Learn more

Microsoft 365 Groups & Teams Mailbox Restore Now Requires Authentication

As part of our migration to Microsoft Graph API ahead of Microsoft's Exchange Web Services (EWS) deprecation, the restore flow for Microsoft 365 (M365) Groups & Teams mailboxes now requires a one-time authentication step before proceeding. This new requirement ensures uninterrupted restore capability during the transition to Graph API. Learn more

Known Limitations from Microsoft Graph API Migration

As we continue migrating from Microsoft EWS to the Microsoft Graph API, we are aware that the Graph API introduces several limitations. We have prepared mitigations to minimize the impact on your data protection. Learn more
